10 yrs ago: (plus 6 months) I was living in Bellingham and going to college at Western Washington University. I was really starting to fall in love with the great outdoors, especially as there was everything outdoors imaginable there. The first weekend there I went to Orcas Island with the college ward and met some people that got me into rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, fly-fishing and more into hiking and camping. I was probably in better shape then than ever before in my life! I made some really great friends from Bellingham and still miss living there!

5 Things on my list of things to do today:
1. Just relax and try to handle my horrific morning sickness!

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire:
Buy a few new houses- one in Colorado, one in Hawaii, and one Alaska (for my hubby and I to come visit his family). I would also give a few million to each of my family members, invest some, and pay a FAT check of tithing to the LDS church! I would probably invest in some charity contributions as well- especially cancer research.

and soon... Colorado (at least I think and hope so)

Things most people don't know about me: I have been in the back of a police car with my brother, I have almost been killed while backpacking in Montana, I recently married a cute Cambodian, and less than 4 months later got pregnant.

A little announcement...

So I thought it has been long enough to announce that I am expecting! I had my 3 month check up this week and everything looks great. Our little one is just 2 inches big- but you can already make out so many details on the ultrasound. We even got to see the baby move his/her arm- it was so cute! My husband asked the doctor if he could tell the gender yet and he said "no it's too early," but then did a side angle of the baby where we could only see the two legs showing on the screen and he said "it's a little early to make anything of this" as he pointed at a little blob. It has certainly been so exciting for both of us, even though I have faced pretty bad morning sickness that lasts all day and night and haven't been able to work for almost 7 weeks now. I am hoping it goes away soon, as it does for most women. Time will tell. Anyway... we just thought it was time to share the excitement with others and will keep updating as the pregnancy progresses.

Paying tribute to Gordon B. Hinckley...

It's been a while since I last blogged about life on here... so thought it might be good to write a quick note. A little over a week ago, the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Gordon B. Hinckley) passed away. Although he was 97 years old and it could have been at least somewhat expected, it was still hard to accept the fact that I would never hear him give another talk again. He has truly been an inspirational leader, role model, and president of the church and he will be remembered always by any who have ever had the privelege of knowing him. I had the opportunity to watch his funeral services online and it became quite emotional for me as I remembered all that he had taught and inspired in me... to "stand a little taller," "be a little better," and of course... his "Be's"... Be grateful, Be prayerful, Be humble, Be true, Be smart, Be clean, Be positive, and Be still and Be involved." I'm grateful for all that he taught me and for the chance to see him in person several times as well. We will all miss you!
