Well after a trip to the ER about 10 days ago for really bad morning sickness (otherwise known as severe dehydration) and a prescription for a second anti-nausea medication (Phenergen) that helps me sleep really well, I am feeling better and better everyday!
I have my 16 week check-up this Wednesday, and although we could hypothetically find out the gender, we will be waiting until our next appointment at 20 weeks to find out as that will be our next ultrasound appointment. I must say that I absolutely love having sonograms as it is incredible to see the baby and then to hear the heartbeat. I have been looking on ebay for a fetal-doppler which would allow me to hear the babies heart beat at home. It makes it that much more exciting!
I must say that I am going to owe my husband a lot for all he has put up from me and for doing so much around the house. He has been very helpful- so thank you hubby! It feels great to start feeling back to normal again and be able to get back to real-life (work). I am not showing quite yet- (well other than the size I was before- as I have always had a pooch :o), since I had lost almost 15 pounds in my first trimester... but when I do start showing more I will post a picture!
The other fun pregnancy phenomena is cravings... I wouldn't say I've had any cravings yet- more like disgusts for many foods I really loved before. It's bizarre. But, I am finding that ice cream is my friend (Ben & Jerry's mint cookie, and Haggen Daus mint chip)... mmm mmm! I guess I do crave one thing- watermelon (which doesn't come cheap in Alaska, let alone this time of year- but we still get it!) Other than that- I didn't drink water for almost a month- just juice, sprite, and chocolate milk (vitamin-enriched of course)... but am back to water now- which is definitely good!
I am most looking forward to 1. Finding out the gender
2. Not having any more morning sickness at all
3. Getting back to work
4. Shopping for baby stuff (clothes, crib etc etc)
5. Having the baby in my arms (aka: being done w/ the labor part)

I can't wait to see what you are having as well. I'm already driving Isaac crazy, because at every store we go in, I have to look at all the baby stuff and wonder what you would like.:-) Also, labor is not that bad. You'll make it threw. It seems like forever when your in it, but then when it's done it's worth every minute!
note to self: do not get pregnant. bwahhahaa. i was at enrichment and these ladies were talking about pregnancy. yep, i'll just stick to my puppies. :) stoked!! glad you're feeling better, sis!!
