When Ken and I mentioned to my brother that we wanted to move to Arizona, the first thing he said was "why would you want to leave Alaska?" My answer is not that we necessarily
want to leave Alaska, we just want to be closer to family, and we are ready for a change. We do have his family here, but it has been 5 long years away from my family and we will still visit Alaska to see our family here. Anyway, with the long winter still here I was looking through some old summer Alaska pics and thought I would post a few of my favorites...
Homer, AK

Kenai Penninsula

Hathcher's Pass

Exit Glacier

Katmai National Park

Land of 10,000 Smokes (Katmai)

Anchorage's Chugach Mtns

A commonly seen moose!

A hike out of Eagle River, AK

Kayaking in Eklutna Lake

Hike in the Chugach mtns... a favorite "playground"

Kendra! It is so good to be in touch with you again! Alaska is beautiful, it is one of my favorite places--especially in thes summer! I am jealous that you have gotten to be there for so long, but can totally understand wanting to be closer to family, it can be isolating up there. Do you ever make it back to Spokane? Do you have any family here still?
Hey Kendra,
I can't believe how big Kyson is! Time flies. I have never been to Alaska, those pictures make me want to visit. When are you thinking of moving to AZ? I know how you feel wanting to be closer to family, I wish we were too. Soon enough I guess! Hope all is going well for you family, Kellie
GREAT, now I want to move to Alaska!! Beautiful photos.
